TRAUMA INFORMED INTERVIEWING
A TRAINING BY PEOPLE WITH LIVED EXPERIENCE FOR ATTORNEYS WHO WORK WITH THEM
Wednesday May 12, 2021 from 3-5 PM on Zoom (space is limited)
This qualifies for 2 Mental Health Trial Skills Credits; as well as 2 CLE on the following panels:
CAFL, Adult Criminal, Criminal Appeals, SORB/SDP, YAD, and YAD appeals
The CPCS Mental Health Litigation Division training unit presents this important webinar with trainers from the Wildflower Alliance (formerly known as the Western Mass Recovery Learning Community). We will be exploring the roots of trauma, how it may affect your clients, and how to approach your work with them in a way that honors their experiences while increasing your ability to form a productive attorney-client relationship. You will learn tips and strategies for your first contact with a client experiencing different forms of distress and leave the training with a handout you can use in your practice.
We will be using breakout rooms for role-playing the skills we learn. Please make sure you have a working webcam and microphone on the device you will use to join by Zoom because we expect all participants to be on camera and able to be interactive in the breakout rooms.
