Web & Intranet Editors’ Guide: A crash course in adding and editing our web and intranet sites. After reading this document, you should be able to:
- Describe the difference between our website and our intranet site.
- Describe what type of content is appropriate for publication on our sites (i.e., the website and intranet) vs. other platforms (e.g., MyGideon).
- Describe in very generic terms, the way our sites are logically divided for the purposes of permissions.
- Describe the different user roles and their abilities.
- Describe the differences between a Post and a Page, including when to use each.
- Know where to find the most up-to-date version of this document.
- Know where to find the most up-to-date information on a Section’s editorial hierarchy.
- Edit content for which you have permissions.
- Add content for review or publication, depending on your role.
- Add users and set their roles (assuming your role permits this).
- Edit a division’s menu(s) (assuming your role permits this).
