Our colleague, Atty. Adrian Angus, has been chosen as one of 21 Academy Fellows for the Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) Leadership Academy Inaugural Class, a 12-month program for attorneys with three to ten years of experience that is designed to recruit and nurture future bar and civic leaders.
Atty. Angus began his career at CPCS in 2011 in the Worcester District Court office, where he successfully litigated five jury trials, numerous bench trials, and countless evidentiary motion hearings. In 2014, he was promoted to the Worcester Superior Court office, where he continues to handle a full caseload of serious felonies.
Beyond CPCS, Atty. Angus has been a member of the MBA’s Access to Justice Section Council for the last two years. He has also been active with the Worcester County Bar Association and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL).
CPCS Chief Counsel Anthony Benedetti said, “Adrian is a highly motivated public defender with the zeal and commitment of a future leader. He has demonstrated leadership skills and potential within CPCS and the Massachusetts legal community. His experience as an Academy Fellow will hone his inherent abilities and cultivate his natural talents to make him a truly gifted leader.”
