Congratulations to Public Defender Division staff attorneys Ann Grant and Ricardo Arroyo who were the defense team finalists in the annual Paul McLaughlin – Peter Muse trial competition.
The final mock trial took place on June 14, 2018 in Suffolk Superior Court and was presided over by The Honorable Frank Gaziano of the SJC, the Honorable Jeffrey Locke and the Honorable Christopher Muse of the Superior Court. After a hard-fought trial, a jury of high school students found the accused NOT GUILTY! The three judges then gave a detailed critique to the participating attorneys and awarded Ann Grant, staff attorney in New Bedford, the Peter J. Muse Advocacy Award.
