Removing CPCS email account from your mobile device

If you wish to remove the CPCS account from your mobile device, please take the steps listed below. Typically you would do this is if you don’t want CPCS to enforce some security policies on your personal device (for more on this, visit the blog post titled, “CPCS security policies on your mobile device“).

If you remove the CPCS account, you may  still access CPCS email and calendaring through your mobile browser at https://webmail.publiccounsel.net/owa or GoToMyPC on your mobile device. NOTE: These methods require an internet connection.

For Android:

  • Go into “settings” and “accounts” and remove the account for CPCS (usually called “Corporate” or “Exchange”)
  • If you downloaded the “Outlook” app, delete that, too.
  • Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “De-authorize my device from Exchange”.
    • In the body of the email indicate which device (Android phone, Android tablet) you wish deactivated

For iOS (apple):

  • Go into “settings” and “mail, contact, calendars” and “Exchange”, and remove / delete the Exchange account
  • If you downloaded the “Outlook” app, delete that, too
  • Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “De-authorize my device from Exchange”.
    • In the body of the email indicate which device (iPhone,iPad) you wish deactivated

If you have any difficulty following the instructions, please send an email to [email protected] requesting assistance.
