I often get a question along the lines of: I’m getting about 5 emails a day or more from “BigSalesCheap.” Is there any risk if I click on the link to unsubscribe?
Yes. There is a risk when clicking unsubscribe from something unknown and spammy. Unless you know you subscribed to it, don’t click unsubscribe unless you are 100% certain it is valid.
What CAN you do then? Block it in Barracuda.
Barracuda is our online SPAM filter. To block unwanted people or domains from emailing you, follow these simple steps.
- Go to Barracuda: https://ess.barracudanetworks.com/ and login (your email address and PC password)
- Click Settings and Sender Policy
- Under Sender put the email address ([email protected]) or the domain (xyz.com) if you want to block everything from them. Under Policy select Block. Under Actions select Add.
